I am building Mochi, an interactive companion desk robot! So far, I have engineered the core non-blocking state machine framework and custom anime-style blinking expressions on the 0.96” OLED display using an ESP32. The biggest challenge was designing the multi-axis motion and transistor sound circuits without having all the hardware components yet. I am shipping this now to unlock project grant funding so I can buy the dual servo motors, ultrasonic sensor, and speaker modules needed to finish the physical PVC pipe body assembly!
