I worked on building and finishing “The Runaway Panic Button”, an interactive arcade web game using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. What I built and updated: • Runaway Mechanics: Programmed the target button to calculate screen boundaries and dodge away whenever hovered or touched. • UI & Layout: Compacted the top dashboard arena box and positioned the “Challenge a Friend” button in the bottom-right corner. • Rank Progression: Tied player ranks strictly to successful Clicks (Snail Reflexes -> Coffee Jitters -> Lightning Fingers -> Touch Grass Please ). • Spacebar Freeze Power: Added a hidden cheat counter that reveals when pressing Spacebar, freezing the button for 4 seconds so players can spam-click it. • Decoy Clone Hazards: Spawned fake red decoy buttons after 20+ dodges that reset player Clicks to 0 if misclicked. • Speech & Audio: Added Web Speech API synthesis for real-time voice taunts and victory announcements.
finished fixing UI bug and added a live click counter! Now the game tracks every time a player actually manages to land a hit on the runaway button.On the first click, the display updates to “clicks: 1” in real time and triggers the “YOU WON!” screen. tested it using keyboard controls to make sure the event listener fires smoothly!
I was working on my runaway panic button today! Added a multi-level boss mode where players can choose from 4 difficulty levels(shy,panicked,hyperactive, and impossible). Ran into few JavaScript bugs while setting up the movement logic and button Scaling, so i will be finishing up debugging tomorrow!🛠️
so i am making a button that escapes from your cursor when trying to click it i added things like i made the button change color every time someone hovers over it trying to click the button and i added dodge counter to count how many times it have dodged you and one more thing i have letter changing i mean when you try to click it and dodges you it says like too slow,nice try…etc.
this is an interactive web app built with html,css and javascript the moment you attempt to click it the button,javascript tracks your cursor location and glides it smoothly to the opposite side of your screen,making it impossible to catch.
so it is my first project it about making a button that escapes for the person cursor when trying to click it and i will add things like changing color and more and it uses things like html,javascript,css mostly it uses html. i am buliding it now.
