- ANILIST API INTEGRATION -
I did a lot of progress so far but the biggest update is that I can now browse, search and share anime titles, mangas, studios and others on the client..
i can also browse the trending tab.. Each anime title has its own page with its details - exactly: tags, genres, title, english title (if exists), rating, status (finished, airing, unreleased and others), type (TV, show, manga, anime, music etc.), number of episodes, studio behind it, number of favs, creation date, synopsis, staff, characters + their VA (VA = voice actor), related and sequels/prequel, quick links for the shows socials AND MUCH MORE TO COME..
right now it also has a tracking editor but that’s not finished at this moment as it doesn’t have user page integration yet.
for the backend i used ai to help me build it (only for the integration part.. = I made backend but ai linked it with how the anilist queries the requests) bcuz i suck at that
another cool asf thing is….. DYNAMIC THEME GENERATION - probably the coolest thing on the page.
basically it extracts primary color of the anime banner and sets that to the theme color.. So If i open let’s say… “Jujutsu Kaisen” the color would be purple/red-ish as the color art is that color also :3
I need to fix a lot of bugs.. then i plan on adding library, tracking and alsooooo profile and community
that would be all for this devlog i assume and here are some nerdy stuff
nerdy info:
Language: Typescript and static HTML
Frontend: bun serve
UI: custom elements and matraic package
AI USAGE: linking the anilist to the backend.. (probably like 10 or less % of the code)
joke of the day:
– buys wireless headphones..
– looks inside
– wires ![]()
