I am now finished my OS! I added a calendar app, and on the taskbar, it now shows which apps are open and is a shortcut to access each one (i am not sure how useful this is but I wanted to add a new feature).

I fixed many problems (which I discovered eventually) on my OS and developed the apps: bookmarker app - I added a search feature, and an edit feature to edit past notes. I also developed the calculator by changing the order of the numbers - i don’t know why I hadn’t already because the numbers were descending from 9 strangely, but… and I also added a percentage and negative/positive number function. In the settings app, I made the window colour editable as an appearance option. I want to add a few more apps, now that I have gotten the hang of creating and developing them but I hope I get it finished before Stardance challenge finishes ><

I now have three working apps! And a weather/calendar feature. I tried to make it more customisable by adding a settings feature where you can change the background colour, font, and whether or not to have translucent windows for the welcome and calendar windows (as even I wasn’t sure about the translucent ;D). I think I have finished my first OS! I am glad I got to code in 3 different languages as well.

I added my first app! (it doesn’t work yet though…) I also found some problems like when I dragged the window, it kept changing size but I managed to fix them. I also made the background of the window slightly transparent, although I am not completely sure that I like it. :D

Continuing to improve my OS: I managed to add a door handle and a window header, but I’m not quite sure what the door handle is for… I think the window header makes it look much neater however. (^v^) I also added a close button but for some reason I can’t add an open on the window as well, so I made it come out of the rinnieOS label on the top bar.

Making my first OS: The guide was very helpful so I have been able to develop it. I am glad I was able to work out how to use the dragging feature on my window and get the time to work. I am still working on trying to add a handle and to get it to open and close - I hope I can do it! :D
