I now have three working apps! And a weather/calendar feature. I tried to make it more customisable by adding a settings feature where you can change the background colour, font, and whether or not to have translucent windows for the welcome and calendar windows (as even I wasn’t sure about the translucent ;D). I think I have finished my first OS! I am glad I got to code in 3 different languages as well.
I added my first app! (it doesn’t work yet though…) I also found some problems like when I dragged the window, it kept changing size but I managed to fix them. I also made the background of the window slightly transparent, although I am not completely sure that I like it. :D
Continuing to improve my OS: I managed to add a door handle and a window header, but I’m not quite sure what the door handle is for… I think the window header makes it look much neater however. (^v^) I also added a close button but for some reason I can’t add an open on the window as well, so I made it come out of the rinnieOS label on the top bar.
Making my first OS: The guide was very helpful so I have been able to develop it. I am glad I was able to work out how to use the dragging feature on my window and get the time to work. I am still working on trying to add a handle and to get it to open and close - I hope I can do it! :D
