I added quite some stuff extra. I made a beginning for a start screen, but I want it more beautiful but don’t really know how to for now. In the start screen, you have two options. You either start the game or read the tutorial. For now I only added some really short text in the tut but that’s just to test if it works. I also tried to make an end screen, but it has some bugs in it so I need to change that. I also changed the colors. Everything is now a brown or pastel tint. Next time, I’m gonna work on the end and start screen, and try to make the game more appealing.

Today, I worked on seeing my correct letters if i clicked on the correct letter on the keyboard. Now if you choose the wrong letter, you see an extra line in the canvas. If you choose the correct letter, you see said letter instead of a line. I also added the sentence “Your guess is correct” and “Your guess is incorrect” after you choose a letter. Next time I want to code something so it choses a random word. Right now I only use the word “dog” just for simplification. And maybe make the website more appealing, but idk how for now

I made my keyboard more functional. Now if you click on a letter that isn’t in the chosen word, an extra line gets drawn. Before the player choses a letter, the structure is already drawn. The structure is the frame where the man hangs onto. Next time, I want to show the correct letter, if the player choses a correct letter. I also have no idea why 2h are logged, because today I coded for 1h.

Today, I made my keyboard functional. But now it only hows wich are correct and which aren’t. I still need to add what happens after clicking a button. I also added lines for each letter of the word, so that you could see how many letter the word has. The box on the left side is the place where the hanging man comes, if you make any mistakes. The next time I want to make everything functional. Because now nothing works together yet.

I started working on a website version of my Hangman game. It was originally made to be played in a terminal. I firstly did some research about HTML, CSS and js, because i’m not experienced in it. I then made a beginning of my keyboard. My plan is to also make that classic Hangman drawing. Where it begins with the head and everytime you guess a letter wrong, you get an extra line fo the drawing. I also want to make something so that you can see where your correct guesses are in the word. Also, thanks to everyone who rated my last ship and gave my advice on how to improve. It was really helpful!

I made a start with my Personal Website. It took quite a lot of time, even though only 48 min are logged. That’s because I did a lot of research about HTML and CSS. I also experimented with different lay-outs and idea’s. My plan for now is to make a website that looks like a bulletin board and that you can click on the post-it’s for more foto’s and info.

This is my first and only devlog of this project because it is a small beginner project. I started with adding the main parts(chosing the word, printing the rules, while-loop). I later added extra stuff like checking if the input is correct or printing already used letters. I’m quite new with Hack Club and coding, so any feedback is appreciated:)
