Created an idea for an mcsr intergration, thinking of future paths for the device letting anyone make an intergration!
I had a spare ssd1306 display lying around, sadly it doesn’t have colours BUT it looks super tuff when i put the display image onto it
designed loads of different designs for the slides of the stock ticker! super happy with how they came out :)
Made a LOT of the esp32 code, learnt how platformio and c++ works (just basics), really recommend randomnerdtutorials.com, basically everything came from there. Built the api function calling a single item, parsing the json then printing the price in the right format.
I learnt how to use dataframes in pandas and how to use matplotlib to create a graph with the data to show price history over the last 24 hours.
Made a database for item names, item id’s on the api and stack sizes, added search function to api.py
Tested an alternative api (donut.auction) to get usable data for testing.
Worked on finding out what components i would need and drew a little diagram thing.
Created a UI mockup of what the display would show while tracking an item.
