whats upp chat, welcome to my channel!!!
Intro
This is my first real hardware project and it has beenā¦ something so far! I wanted to have something look forward to working on after coming back from my internship instead of doomscrolling for hours loll. Iāve done some breadboarding and C++ but nothing like this. Lowk, imma be real, all this is confusing but weāre hanging in there. GOAL IS TO GET THIS DONE BY NEXT SUNDAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! so stay tuned to see how this turns out
Progress
Iāve been following the attached guide and have completed the schematic and PCB! It took a while at first but I think Iāve got the KiCad basics down. The case is halfway done so I need to put a pep in my step to finish it

I messed up: I realized way too late into the guide that I forgot to link my GitHub project and actual KiCad files. Did some research, and I decided to just delete everything and start over the right way, hence why I spent 2 hours just getting through this dang guide. Soo my second time around went super fast UNTIL we got to the case

My internet is booty: Fusion360 wouldnāt download, so I decided to do it on OnShape. Was going pretty well until we got to the DXF stuff. YTube is my knight in shining armor and saved me. BUT, the sketch woudnāt fully get constrained so I couldnāt extrude the top plate. And WE (me, Copilot, Claude, etc.) canāt figure out why, so weāll circle back to the case once I get fusion (did you catch the corporate jargon)!
Next Steps
- Get fusion
- Learn how to do the matrix thing so I can add more switches/rotary encoder
- Find cute concepts for my case (drop suggestions)š„ŗš„ŗ
also i cant figure out how to change my pfp so help is appreciatedš
