Things are finally starting to come together. In this phase, I focused on taking PASHURAKSHA AI beyond just a basic prototype and making it feel more like a real livestock health platform. I worked on connecting the AI health assessmentwith the FastAPI backend and database, so information like symptoms, temperature, appetite and activity can be used for health-risk analysis. I also worked on the dashboard and turned it into a proper Command Center, where we can see farmers, animals, health reports, high-risk cases, disease patterns, outbreak alerts and veterinary cases all in one place. Alongside the frontend, I spent quite a bit of time working with FastAPI, PostgreSQL and REST APIs and, honestly, getting all these pieces to communicate properly has been one of the more challenging parts so far. 😅 But that’s also where most of the learning is happening. The goal isn’t just to make an AI model that gives a prediction — it’s to build something that can actually help turn that prediction into an action. There’s still a lot of testing and debugging left, but the project is definitely starting to look and feel like what we originally imagined. 🚀

Day 2 of working on PASHURAKSHA AI was mainly focused on getting the backend and core health intelligence system properly connected. I worked on integrating FastAPI with PostgreSQL and connected the AI prediction system with the health reporting workflow. The system can now register farmers and animals, accept health reports with symptoms and basic health information, and generate a suspected disease, risk score and severity using the AI model. I also implemented automatic veterinary escalation for high-risk cases, including assigning cases to veterinarians and resolving them with notes. Another important part I worked on today was the Maharashtra-specific location structure with state, district, taluka and village information, along with the initial outbreak detection system. During testing, the system successfully identified 6 cases of Bovine Respiratory Disease in Shirpur, Dhule, Maharashtra and generated a HIGH ALERT. With the core backend now working, the next step is to start building the actual farmer, veterinarian and government-facing interfaces. 🚀

Started working on PASHURAKSHA AI today and honestly got quite a bit done in the first session. I started by setting up the complete project structure and then moved on to the backend. I set up PostgreSQL, created the database and started designing the tables for farmers, animals, health reports, veterinarians and veterinary cases. After that, I connected the database with a FastAPI backend and started building the APIs around it.I also tested the complete flow with some sample data — created a farmer, added their animal, submitted a health report, added a veterinarian and finally created a veterinary case with a risk score. So the basic flow of the system is working now: Farmer then Animal then Health Report then Vet Case.This is just the foundation for now. There’s still a lot to build, especially the AI side, frontend and outbreak detection part, but getting this much working on day one feels pretty good. 🚀More to build, more to learn. 1.5 hrs today and got the whole services package done finallyAuthService, MenuService, OrderService and ReportService — all four in one session. took ai help to move faster but understood everything as i went so it’s fine AuthService does login and registration, MenuService handles the menu with 10 items now grouped by category, OrderService is the main one — full cart flow with payment and loyalty points, ReportService gives three reports — revenue, best selling items and payment breakdownstreams were new for me in ReportService, sorting best selling items that way felt cleaner than writing a manual looponly Main.java left and then the whole thing actually runs. so close 🔥

shorter session today, around 1.2 hrs but got the payment package done made a Payable interface and then CashPayment, CardPayment and UPI Payment implementing it. nothing crazy but the interface concept finally clicked for me seeing it in actual code rather than just reading about it in theoryhonestly spent more time thinking about the project offline than actually coding today. that mental work doesn’t show on hackatime but it counts lol. took some ai help too to move faster at a few pointswas sick for the last 2 days so lost my streak 😭 but not gonna stress about it. back to it from tomorrow consistentlygonna push to github tomorrow for real this time 💀

Date: August 18, 2026Project: JavaBites 2.0okay so i finally sat down and decided to actually do something with my food ordering system. like it was just sitting there as a basic mini project and i felt bad for it lolso the plan is to turn it into a proper restaurant management system. two sides — customer and admin. customer can login, order food, pay, see history. admin can manage the menu, see reports etc. calling it JavaBites 2.0 for now which sounds cool enoughtoday was mostly setup and models. made 4 packages — models, services, payment, utils. felt like a real dev doing that nglthen started writing classes. User.java first — just name phone password, nothing special. but then extended it into Customer and Admin using inheritance and that’s where it got interesting. like i never really got why inheritance existed before but today it just made sense. why copy paste the same fields into two classes when you can just go “hey this class is a User but with extra stuff”also rewrote FoodItem — added category and availability so admin can actually control what’s on the menu. small thing but makes it feel 10x more realenum was new for me today. made OrderStatus with like PENDING CONFIRMED PREPARING DELIVERED CANCELLED. honestly should’ve been using enums way earlier, so much cleaner than hardcoding strings everywhereand then Order.java — biggest change was switching from two ArrayLists to a HashMap for the cart. took me a second to wrap my head around Map.Entry but got there eventually next up is the payment package — Cash Card UPI all using interfaces. also really need to push this to github i keep saying that and not doing it 💀good session though, feels like the project is actually going somewhere now
