Hello! My name is Yara and I like to code. I'm pretty new to coding in general but I know how to use python and django. I've also done some arduino and ESP32 work. Let's be friends :)

Hey guys! Today was all about cutscene integration and choice option. Off the log, I spent a lot of time animating a “body reveal” cutscene to go into the story. Then, I added some padding to the story to improve the pacing. I just felt like the buildup to the murder was too quick, so I also added more suspense with the dialogue. Finally, I began adding the 2nd act of the play into the game.

Hey guys! Let me tell you a story: in in my sophomore year, my friends and I wrote a play we really wanted to produce at school. However, homework is evil and we never got the time to perform it. Thus, we’re turning it into a video game. Using ren’py engine, I was able to add the script leading up to the murder (it’s a murder mystery). Furthermore, I added music, sound effects, animal sfx (for the characters’ voices), and unique fonts. Right now, it looks pretty basic, but it will look better when my friends add the art.

Hey guys! While I have a personal website, I thought it would be fun to make a sillybilly one that can be used on neocities. Then I thought that this would be no better time to try out the webOS tutorial here on hack club. Obviously, it’s very basic and tutorial-heavy right now, but I plan to add my personal touches at the end. Feel free to stick around and watch me on this crazy journey where I don’t actually know what I’m doing.

Hello everybody! I made a personal website/portfolio that showcases my work. I’m relatively new to programming, so there are certain elements I wasn’t too confident. However, making my website gave me the opportunity to express myself in a professional setting. Please look at the README.md file for any specifics on the project. As always, have a wonderful day!

I made a portfolio page that showcases some of my art! I also added a
little blurb on the home page, but I don’t know what else to put there
so I’m gonna consider it done for now. Obviously, I plan to fix it and
update it throughout my career, but I think it’s a great start so far!

So, I just finished my linktree-esque page! I think it looks pretty nice and resembles what the linktree app should do. I plan to add a box around everything so that the text doesn’t conflict with the background, but it’s good for now yippeee.

Hey everybody! I just finished the basic parts of my website. I have a working homepage and contact page, but I’m still working on coding the other two pages. My favorite feature (which isn’t very basic) is the animated scrollbar, which took forever. At first, I made the navigation bar on its own html document and then used an iframe, but I realized it didn’t work after hours of trying to make it work. So, I had to put the navbar code on every page and kept the styling in the main styles.css file. Originally, each page had its own internal stylesheet, but I wanted more cohesiveness so I ended up merging them all into one file. The website is bland, yes, but I plan to add in some of my own art before the next devlog. As always, I’m a beginner so I’d love to hear feedback, and you can check out the site at https://yaramations.github.io/. Toodles!

Hello Everybody!

I’m making a personal website in order to share my voice on the internet. While I haven’t done much code, I spent a great deal planning my website out on Canva, because I wanted to know what the website was gonna look like before I started coding. Here are some of my plans (reference screenshots below). They’re pretty ambitious but I’m really gonna commit to it. Obviously, most of the images are placeholders that I found on pinterest, but I’m going to redraw everything when I finish coding the base of my site.

Thanks for reading!
