I built an app to help people study for AP Classes / Exams. As someone who has struggled with studying or even finding a good database of questions I thought this would be a good thing to build and publish. My inspo was Duolingo and other gamified study apps because I found that that helped me with engaging and studying.

Devlog for kinda everything since I hadnt been logging it up until now.

This is AP Study app some random idea I had because I wanted a place where I could study for my AP classes but also get feedback and refreshers while also competing against my friends. (Think of it like duolingo but for studying).

Some features it has are:

  • Streaks
  • Friends list
  • Friend Leaderboard
  • Teacher created classes
  • Countdown to AP Test
  • Levels

Disclaimer: I have not taken all these classes and am always looking for feedback if you think questions should be harder / easier.

As of right now the card game images work in game. As well as I have added a function where a player can play against the bot. However the current game does not play propperly as the cards do not work correctly. For example ultra ball does not allow me to discard cards that I should be able to play in the moment. As well as I am unable to search my deck for cards.

Stages 2 and 3 of training have been finished. The bot now understands more advanced interactions, and has gone up to normal games with 6 prize cards and 60 cards in deck to start. I am still waiting it to fully understand game mechanics before importing in the actual standard legla cards.

Stage 1 Training is done. The bot is able to play a simple game using these cards. I still have to go in at a later stage and make sure it is only using real cards in the standard format.

@Veeraj on TCG Tycoon Slack Bot

I made a slackbot that allows you to play a tycoon game with the use of one command. I found a lot of things challenging as it was my first time. The main thing was understanding terminal commands and understanding how to install the software. It was confusing at first but as I did more I started to get the hang of it. I am really proud of the tournament feature and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Version 1.2 added features such as gradable cards, player to player trading and a highly volatile tournament system. The screenshot is the grading system.
