I build an Atmosphere app. So the main idea is that i am watching “Frieren” anime and that time and while thinking of a project idea , I picked one with the most relaxed vibes. What the app basically do is that a user can select a vibe and just fall into it. I added live backgrounds with high quality and music with each vibe taste match. TBH this is kind of selfish project cause i want to have an app like this also I want to build something interesting and unique. There are some problems like I really have to make everything aesthetic so the app have the vibe , Large vids , Hd thumnails takes time to load are the main problem i face which i solved using Claude. I dont use codex , cursor etc and make this app while my studies so it quite take more time than i expected. But still , as a self taught developer i feel good enough to build more apps in feature.

Final Devlog: Gluma app is done. Where you can find your vibe anytime you are frustrated or just want to sit and chill. You can check it out anytime on my github! Although i didn’t added that much vibes . still you can feel the app at the fullest.

So the update is : Added Favorite feature in the selectionScreen . “Vibe more with YOUR Vibes~” .
Everything is working fine the remaining this is to insert more data and polish things.
Mistake: Implemented Supabase but then hit a wall. The favorite feature requires login , And I don’t want to do that so here we are.

Update: Added Orientation to Atmospher Screen. Fixed any orientation realted issue. Added background video (looped) using Media3 Exoplayer. Fixed any black bars or Ratio issues.

As for the 2nd update : Added all the screens. Implemented navigation between them. The Category Selection data and atmosphere screen data is hardcoded for now. Will change it later. To make this devlog worth , this is what i aim to build (with animated bg) -

GLUMA - An Atmosphere App.
vibe for everyone.

I want to build something as I want to learn along. I am exhausted with my current situation… That’s where the idea came from. A place where I or a User can find a vibe and feel the way they want. Also my inspiration of making it is An anime called “Frieren - beyond the journey”. Will polish it later :)
