@S_U_Wasi on Study Operating Tool-Box

What I have created known as Study Operating Tool-Box. It is created on the top of one of my previous project known as Study Operating System.
It is consist of many tools. 3 core tools are “Was Calendar”, “Was To-Do List” and “Was Writer”. I have created it as an privacy first system. Here is a catch. The privacy protection can get changed depending on the system it is running. Example:

If using Web-Version: There might be a analytic by the hosting provider and browser setting too. [But there is no analytic in the code. So, I haven’t added any analytic in the source.] & [The web site is hosted via GitHub pages].

If using the Source Code Directly: Now, here is no host provider analytic but be careful in browser’s setup.

If using the app: I will talk about it after releasing the app.

I would recommend be careful on where it is running. Because I have created is as privacy protected tool. But the system where it is running may change the protection level. And The web-version is complete and fully usable but I have released the web version for giving it a try. I haven’t added any analytic but there may be analytic present, since it is hosted on a server out side of my control.

By using Study Operating Tool-Box, user can set up their, calendar, todo list at one place. There is a writer for writing and taking notes using plain text or markdown or stylus pen. There is a Built analytic (Not cloud website analytic); this analytic will give a usage dashboard to the user. If anyone is using it for study, then they can check their study time there and track progress too.

I have also faced a funny problem while developing this. While it was in development I mistakenly deleted the entire repository from my device. Thus I lost my code. Luckily it was saved on GitHub, but that was a few update behind. But I have overcome that and finally shipped it. From my mistake I have learned to keep a always updated backup.

In Study operating Tool-Box there are 5 icon I have designed by myself (not all icons). I designed those Icons during the previous project (Months ago). That is why I am also thinking about updating the existing icons and add some more icons too.

Today I have released Study Operating Tool-Box.

Anyone can give it a try via web. It is completely usable via web. I have created it web-first for now. For upcoming few updates it will be web-first. Then I have intention to upgrade it as an app.

Working on Study Operating Tool-Box is almost over and will be shipped soon.

Study Operating Tool-Box is quite ready to be online. I will release it soon.

Features:

  1. Was Calendar: A calendar for planning schedule.
  2. Was To-Do list: A to do for planning tasks.
  3. Was Writer: A note pad which support both stylus and markdown. There is a PDF download too.
  4. Analytics: This is for tracking study sections (This is for user only).

For last few days I have worked on it’s theme. Currently and for it’s first ship there will be only one theme (with different colour mode). I am thinking to add more theme later. There is a hamburger option to hide side-bar during tasks.

Study Operating Tools is local first. So, for backup there is export and import (saved as .json). And there is no cloud option. But this also depends how you have accessed Study Operating Tool-Box:

  1. Accessed using website host: You need internet and hosting service’s Analytic will apply.
  2. Accessed using html (after downloading the source code from repository): You just need your device. There will be no cloud, analytic etc. (but this also depends on your browser settings).
  3. Using Application (Currently under development): There will be no cloud, internet access, analytic etc. (but this also depends on user’s raw data using style).

Full data will be available in the README.

Update

Universe Data Booklet got a new update. And the updated version is currently online.

On the previous version there are some typing errors and inconsistencies in the code, page and README. That is why I have revised and fix those. Now, I think user can relate the main page with the README.

For new features. There 2 new features currently online. One is a game and another is a assistant. But both of those feature needs huge update soon.

Currently I the game is 2D and Have no visual.
The assistant currently cannot understand natural language. In the recent version the assistant can only answer if the name of asteroid or exoplanet available in the data are written as it is. And Currently I have no intention on adding LLM in it.

My Future Plan for Universe Data Booklet

  1. I will design the assistant such a way that it will catch keywords on prompt and answer based on those keyword.

  2. The current Habitability Scanner is just like normal search and it doesn’t show much data on habitability (But it wasn’t made for that). I am thinking to work on this and will try to add more data.

  3. Since it is data booklet type. I think the current version have too much basic data. That is why I am thinking to add more data source and combine everything together.

  4. I am also thinking about a Wiki for Universe Data Booklet.

  5. After all those work. I think I will take some break from backend and frontend coding and work on Graphics (For game part, and icon). I also want to change it from 2D to 3D.

Some new or updated idea may spark during the work on above. So, everything is changeable.

I think I am going to ship Universe Data Booklet 3rd Time.

Universe Data Booklet (UDB) is now on version 10.0.0.0.0 (It is also the second ship). From the first day of to now, UDB has improved a lot. Initially it was suppose to only display raw data in a graphical window. But as time passed new idea came to my mind and I add those in it. Currently UDB has many feature and I am going to add some more and make my 3rd ship of UDB before 30 September (Because I want to release it during ongoing Stardance).

Overview on upcomming new updates:

  1. Changes on existing features.
  2. A universe explore game
  3. A Chat Bot (Used as alternative of search feature).

Currently I am working on above 3. I may also add some more new feature if any new idea arrive.

For few days I have done much working on Study Operating Tools.

My goal is to make it super fast to use (Because I don’t want any friction during study) and with lowest requirement possible. First I will release it as a web (for very first ship). Then, I will create apps for different operating systems. (Currently I am focused on web version only and will be focused on it for some time even after first ship).

Currently, Study operating tools have
Was Calendar: A calendar with task and event,
Was To-Do list: A to do list service.
Was Writer: A writing tool. It support both stylus and markdown. Notes can be taken either writing via markdown or using a stylus. Was Writer have large (Feels like infinite but not) canvas for stylus section.

Profile: A profile section for the Study Operating Tools.

After all 8 hours of effort all the above mentioned service is currently working. Still there are some bugs at Was Writer (I will fix those soon).

After adding all the services (Sub pages). I will take some additional time to make the site smooth and frictionless.

What I have built is known as Universe Data Booklet.
As it’s name suggest it is a website which contains data on exoplanets and near earth asteroids. Previously it contains only data and analysis. But currently (After recent updates) there are many more features. To know about all the features please read my devlog or directly visit the website. While shipping this right now, I currently have many new ideas to add in this and I will definitely add those in future (Means coming soon).

I cannot make Universe Data Booklet in one day or a week. I need time to create it. My vision regarding this project is very wide. I want that my project will help both learners and curious minds.

During the development of this project I got into a problem. For latest near earth asteroids, I must have to use API. But I cannot put API on a completely open source project. That is why I have used public API. But public api has data fetch limits. Since the project is in it’s early state, not many users will visit. but I was thinking about future. That is why I came up with an idea, where I will use the Public API but it will never hit the limit (The smart caching). In my new development structure, the site will fetch data only once in 30 days (Data is fetched on the first visit after 30 days). Then that data is saved as cache and all other users get data from that one cache. By doing this data is fetched only once even if thousands of users visit at once. This solves the rate limit. but I need the latest data (at least 30 days). That is why the site fetch data once after 30 day. The program check the cache folder and if the data there is older than 30 days then the site fetches new data on the first visit and saves it. Now another storage problem arise. To solve that my site was programmed in such a way that it will store cache for 90 days and any cache data with are older than 90 days will be deleted. Thus I have solved the issue regarding the near Earth asteroids.

I uses public api for near earth asteroids (Because asteroids data get change quickly).
I uses csv file for exoplanets data (It is a manually saved data from authentic source)

Today. I am going (I already have deployed. Go and check out if you want) to deploy the version 10.0.0.0.0 of Universe Data Booklet on Web and The first stable release.

Currently Universe Data Booklet Have

  1. 3D Solar System Near Earth Asteroid View
  2. 3D Galactic exoplanet view
  3. 3D Map view
  4. Graph analysis (Difference of mass in bar diagram)
  5. Quiz Mode
  6. Flash Cards
  7. Guess Mode
  8. Research Mode
  9. I have updated the data row (Currently those are click-able)
  10. 4 different theme in 2 different structure.

This is my portfolio website. This is my portfolio as well as website.
This website contains, my educational background, projects, Articles, contacts, timeline, currently working projects.

Since this is written in pure HTML, CSS and JS, there is no mentionable problems. I faced some problems with embed code, fonts (Because I want to use local fonts, which result font changes from device to device).

On what I am proud of from this Website is this is my 2nd and 1st successful portfolio. In previous months I tried to create one but those are not built according to what I was expecting. But now If I think that was because that time I was entirely dependent on AI. For on this project, I first planed on paper then worked on raw materials and integrate AI brick by brick. This result to the creation of a website exactly how I want.

I really wanted to use three.js in my website to customise it with visuals. But using that JS causes my site to slow down. but I want to make the website as fast as I can. Because I think protfolio should be fast readable. That is why I tried my best with HTML, CSS and JS

Some new changes:

  1. Now, 3D vies have 2 different modes for exoplanets (A galaxy like simulation) and Asteroids (The solar system type simulation. Solar system because all data on asteroids are present for near Earth asteroids).

  2. Now, Universe Data Booklet have study (Flashcards, Quiz, Compare etc.) and research section (Specific details key point study).

There are more updates. To see all of them and Try please wait until 10 August (I will deploy the site and Update it that day.). But the source is available in the repository. Those who are interested can give it a try directly from source code (But the source code is in early state and un-stable. So, I can not guarantee anything).

New Announcement:

According to previous reviews and my own updates I have upgraded the Universe Data Booklet.

New updates include:

  1. Now, users can download the data in good formate as PDF.
  2. There is new 3D view included.
  3. A new map included to get a visual map for both asteroids and exoplanets.
  4. A little bit change to chart view.
  5. Now, user can see the charts, 3D view and Map as a pop up (This was a issue in previous ship, and thanks to the reviews that I can fix them)
  6. Now the data row is click-able for selective view.
  7. There is a search bar for searching the exact asteroid and exoplanet by name The good thing is, user do not have to remember the full name for asteroids and exoplanets, only a partial correct name is enough

New Features are currently written and available in the GitHub repository. I haven’t deployed those yet. Because I have some checking left (Including security and deployment issues).
That is why the current site is not updated yet.

I will deploy and release the update on 10 August 2026.

New Updates and Announcement

Today my site got new update with some fix (Only source level updates, that is why there is less visual changes).

New Updates:

  1. The history timeline got new structure.
  2. The site have 2 view mode now.
  3. The site is now fast/ smooth.

On August 10, I will release a Major Update where I will update the site with latest data, visuals and Proof (Since it is my portfolio, I can't just clam), Structural improvements etc etc.

Upcoming Updates include:

  1. Proof of what I claim on site.
  2. Total story on how I created this site and how I used AI (I will write in both project’s AI deceleration section and README ).
  3. I will add how the site’s Analytic work directly in to the Home page of my site (So, that the analytic is transparent to all and those who visit can know it.)
  4. Add Stats on the home page.
  5. And More.

I have upgraded the CSS, some of HTML (To introduce Hamburger) and some of JS.

Initially I thought to give it a color matching with my portfolio, but that color doesn’t look good on it. That is why I used the current one (I have seen several other sites on this same color and I liked this).

Just Updated the CSS. I have changed the theme to match with the theme of my portfolio (Because I liked that theme).
I have upgraded some of the source (Because I had lost the source code due to some technical error).

I am re-developing some core feature,
The Writer. This time I am going to make it entirely markdown base.

Analytics feature will contain analysis on which study feature is used and How much.

I have updated my site to new.
Previously everything was just like a structure only. Now, I have updated them.
How I have used AI is fully described in the AI Deceleration section.
In brief about AI use: “I have used AI for solving problems and trying tweaks before coming to one conclusion. I used for making my site smooth because it was having friction”. And nothing more than that.
AI is just for help (How to do? and Why?) and All other things are done by me.

What’s new:

  1. Added Sub-pages
  2. Structural change (One row view at the main page)
  3. Place-holders for upcoming changes.

In the next update I will update the site with most real and accurate data (since this is my portfolio).

Recently, I worked on Interface, Visuals, Very little Animations and some sub-pages

Currently my site have,

  1. View my Work sub pages (Will be updated with real data soon).
  2. Contact sub pages (CSS will be completed soon)
  3. Article Sub page is complete (Soon will be updated with my real articles)
  4. About Me section complete (little tweaks are coming soon)
  5. Time-line (Currently under development)

All new updates are not deployed in GitHub repository or page/site. I may deploy it after completing the above 5.
