Hi Everyone,
This is Tether. It’s a platform where people can share their stories and experiences.
Features
- user authentication using google and github
- user can create, read, delete posts
- like and comment on posts
- replies on comments
what did I use to create it?
It’s a full stack web app made using vanilla html, css and js. I used Supabase to store posts, likes, comments, users, etc. I used Cloudflare worker to store all the server side logic and API endpoints.
what did I learn?
I learnt a lot about backend, databases and how cloudflare workers work. Also that you can rotate an hr tag an make it a seperator for menu items instead of CSS borders.

Hi everyone,
This is Tether - a place where like minds meet.
the basic idea of the project
Tether is a social discovery platform built around shared interests. Instead of connecting with people randomly, Tether helps you discover people, communities, and activities based on the things you actually care about.
Progress
today, after 3 painful hours of building (hackatime doesnt count supabase and cloudflare T_T), i built the login and signup system for the website. It uses supabase, google cloud auth (for continue with googl) and cloudflare worker (so that there are no secrets in the frontend).

KernOS
KernOS is an x86 hobby operating system written in C and Assembly. It features a custom shell with commands like help, ver, clear, and neofetch, keyboard input, hardware information detection, a Hangman game, and a custom hand-made boot screen.
What was challenging
The assembly part was very painful. Assembly itself is difficult to understand. after spending a lot of time in assembly and figuring out nothing, I decided to make the kernel in C. It made it much easier. But C was still challenging as it lacked libc. So, the basic functions like printf(), comparison of 2 strings in the if statement, scanf() and all were not available. I had to manually define all of them before using them.

I made the very first version of a custom operating system with minimal use of ai!
what comes in the next ship
In the next ship of this project, I will add features to create/edit/delete files and a custom text editor.

What do I make for dinner?

Hi. Today, i added 2 more features - a daily dinner planner and a reminder. This adds 2 more QoL for the Frictionless misson. It was not that hard to make this time as i knew the documentation and how to implement it. Previously, i didn’t know what to do and spent hours figuring out how to use api and all in js.
3 QoL Improvements
- automatic dinner sugestion - when you don’t know what yo make, you can get quick suggestions with recipes.
- Daily Dinner planner - you can now plan dinner for a whole week!
- Notifications - notifies what you have to make today so that you don’t forget!

What do I make for dinner?

added a hackclub api key option. I had to use very little ai for that as i couldnt figure out how to use it. and i had to set up a backend cloudflare worker for it too.

DEVLOG 3
I finally learnt the proper way to write devlogs :D
i added a lot of things:-
- The logic of commands and outputs
- Some basic commands like clear, help, ver
- Neofetch command!! (the beggest one)
- And an easter egg command
I have had a really terrible experience here as i had to define every single thing. It doesn’t have libc. i had to define basic functions like printf() and it coudn’t even compare 2 strings in the if statement. i had to define the compare 2 strings function T_T.
but now it’s a nice and good looking CLI os kinda thing ig.
