I finally added public recipes!!! You can now create, edit, delete, AND publish recipes on my free website Recipes To Groceries! All recipe ingredients can be turned into a grocery list with smart combining and eventually unit conversions and everything ;)
Feel free to test it out anonymously with the dummy email. I also improved the UI and color-coded the recipes cards.
Also, I created a web scraper to get recipes from URLs but firebase functions requires me to upgrade from the free plan to use that so I can’t publish it until I find a way to do it otherwise. Next update will hopefully have either a better grocery sorting system or more social features (ratings, proper usernames, comments??).
Tried adding a system to import recipes from url but failed due to CORS blocking me from accessing other websites :( Also added 2 new starter recipes and fixed some mobile bugs.
Fixed the UI a bit and added better search mechanisms! Recipes to Groceries is now ready for personal use, and sharing recipes will come soon ;)
Finally figured out firebase! Now you can create and use your account to add/delete/edit recipes. The UI is still bad but I’ll fix it later.
Trying to connect a firebase account/database system to the RtG website is hard! I’ve spent like 2 hours on it and even with AI help I’m still confused 😭

You can now add instructions to your recipes as well as get a grocery list based on what items you have added to your shopping list! More coming soon!
