I built a minimalist, dark-themed personal website from scratch using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (no external heavy frameworks).
It features a full screen hero section scroll triggered section fade-in animations using IntersectionObserver, an intrective idea generator.
Since this was my first ever website and I only had about 2-3 hours to build it, Time management was a big hurdle. On top of that handling responsive layout without CSS framework and making sure smooth navigation work alongside the scroll-based header zoom animation took some tweaking.
I’m proud that I took the initiative to read W3Schools documentation, figure out low-level concepts on the fly, and build a clean, dependency-free site from scratch in one sitting. When I looked at other entries, I briefly felt like mine couldn’t compare, but I realized that everyone starts somewhere and this is just the beginning of my learning journey.
