Had no money for the big CNC I designed (its like 1300 cuz tariffs) so building a small one using parts from a workshop. just need a bit of funding for the stuff I don't have.
basic idea:
Dissassemble a broken lulzbot TAZ Pro. The double Z-axis become the Y-axis, the bed becomes the X-axis, and a spindle will be mounted above, stationary in X- and Y-axis but will move on Z-axis using the threaded rod from an Ender 3.
Electronics will be CNC Shield because I will just be reusing the Nema17s from the printers.
Only funding I need is for electronics and the spindle.
