New Features!

I added a Flight Tracker!!!

Simply put the flight number of the flight you want to track, and you will be able to see the following information:

  1. Departure + Arrival City and Airport IATA codes (ex. LAX - Los Angeles)
    • Time since departure and time until arrival
  2. Airline that the plane is operating under (ex. Emirates or Southwest)
  3. The aircraft model (ex. Boeing 737 MAX 8)
  4. Flight status (ex. Landed, en-route)

I used an API to gather data for the flight tracker.

I also added a calendar for general viewing.

I may make this more interactive, but for now it is simply a calendar to help users easily check the calendar.

I worked on my new tab webpage project and added a few features.

I added a Google search bar that searches Google as well as a bookmarks/shortcuts bar underneath.

I also incorporated NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day in a widget in the left corner, you can expand the caption to read the full details about the image.

Additionally, I added a timer in the right corner with a progress bar that decreases as the time runs out.

In the middle of my page, I included a small weather widget that displays the current temperature as well as an icon that represents the current weather.

I kind of forgot to log some of my time, but I added a few more features to EpicOS!

  1. New Weather App!! Simply type in the city you want, and the app will show the current temperature, time, wind speed/direction, sunrise/sunset timings, precipitation data, as well as a 7-day forecast.

  2. Refreshed note launcher, which can have up to 2 saves (I will probably increase this or make it unlimited later).

  3. The calculator has more conversions, such as Lb-Kg, In-Cm, and others.

  4. New Settings app that allows you to customize your wallpaper. Currently has 3 different options.

I also did some other minor fixes in the game and throughout the project.

Added a calculator that has conversions as well. Currently, it can convert from Miles to Kilometers and Fahrenheit to Celsius (and vice versa). I also added a simple racing game to the OS where you can set a lap time!

I added a notes app!
The notes app has a launcher that currently allows you to perform three functions. You can create a new document, save that document, and then load the most recent save.

I also added all the planets in my live solar system diagram, and locked the zoom so you don’t zoom out too much and lose the solar system.

I worked on making my OS look a bit better and added an application that shows you the live position of planets in our solar system. It took me a while to find some sort of API that will give the data for it, but I managed to get the inner planets for now!

I made a 4-key macro pad with a Rotary Encoder and an OLED Display. I wanted to make a macro pad that would make it easier to perform everyday functions such as Copy/Paste and taking a screenshot. Since this was my first project, using Fusion 360 and KiCAD for the first time was a bit challenging. I am proud of figuring out how to design my PCB and wire the components all together.
