Today I saw the Stardance announcement about the shop discount and decided to checkout if and how much time wakatime logged in the background. I was stunned as i saw the 8hrs…
Wakatime seems to have recorded crumbs of my coding and those crumbs now make up 8hrs.

Here are some of my favourite changes over the last months:

1. An overengeneered timetable: The normal school portal only shows the timetable but I intigrated homework, substitutin and exams into it! Now you almost never have to look at anything except the timetable!
2. Performance and Caching: Lanis is wayyyy faster then the normal schulportal thanks to a few smart features:
   2.1 Preloading: When a user opens lanis it fetches all other informations in the background so when the user navigates the data has already arrived on theire phone
   2.2 Caching: Every night at 3am the lanis backend loads all data from each indiviual registered account and caches it. This allows us to serve our users even during Downtime of the schulportal (like the recent php cves which resulted in over a day of outage for the schoolportal (not for lanis though)
3. Outage tracking: Since the school portal is soooo old and instable it constantly has outages. Lanis includes a uptime tracker which constantly verifys the status of the sph. You can see its results at https://lanis.arg-server.de/status

i have been really focused on school the last few months and didnt really participate in ysws as i felt kinda burned out…

Today I saw the Stardance announcement about the shop discount and decided to checkout if and how much time wakatime logged in the background. I was stunned as i saw the 13hrs…
Wakatime seems to have recorded crumbs of my coding and those crumbs now make up 13hrs.

Here are some of my favourite changes:

1. More modules: I added a bunch of new modules that my school doesnt even support since lanis is now used by more then 50 users at more then 20 schools
2. New improved UI: Ive spend a bunch of time (prbly more then 10hrs) to unify all the UI elements.
3. SEO: I get new signups daily thanks to a bunch of SEO tweaks i made. I only advertised lanis to some people at my school and the other 20 schools came through google :)
   (fun fact: I made for each school a custom automatically generated website so google would rank me for searches like “Schulportal Hessen ” higher… https://lanis.arg-server.de/schulen)

I fixed some more things and the PCB is done now (at least I think so)

I started working on my macropad (StarPad) and i actually got pretty far tbh!
