Started the firmware: most of the time I spent yesterday was used to setup QMK. A lot of starting and stopping as I had to do a lot of other things yesterday. Today I will start the real firmware.

Got A BUNCH done yesterday! I got my bottom and top of my case done! To make it a lot easier I inserted my PCB so I could map out where exactly my holes needed to go. I’m currently debating whether or not I should have a recessed label area because it currently looks a little odd both with and without it.. If anyone has any ideas to make it look better at the top let me know!!!
Started the case for the PCB…. struggling with the button holes a bit so I decided I would take a break and come back to it later tonight or tomorrow. Here is the base of the case; 4 holes (not button holes), sides and bottom.
Wiring Complete!!!! Way too many errors later finally finished PCB wiring :) Got all the aspects wired how I needed them to and will move on to the actual case later today! Can’t Wait!!! BUT if anyone sees something wrong with my PCB, please let me know!
Got quite a bit done yesterday! Instead of doing a macropod with LEDs around the border, I changed it to be an underkey lighting so each button (not including the rotary) will have a nice light under it. Still trying to figure out the wiring which I also started on yesterday. I got my warnings from over 100 to like 60 (which are now just telling me to do my wiring). Today I will continue to try and figure out how to get the wiring to do what I want it to but here is what I had yesterday before I started messing around with wiring :)
Orca is working and has more to offer: Now has 6 total commands!!! Shown below there is a command to see the APOD, a random dog or cat fact, a joke, or system commands to see is Orca is up and running or to see what commands are available! Also got it to run 24/7 with Nest! Had some issues with some the APIs including the Nasa API but got those to work as well!
Added moveable windows for project details that can scroll, expand/retract and be closed with ease :)
Finished my cute logo design and made it display on Slack :)
I got my Slack Bot Orca setup!!! I’m going to go design a logo in a little bit and add more functions BUT after an hour of work I got it to work. I call that a win lol :)
FINISHED!!! I love how it looks I will continue to add more projects and other updates to make it even BETTER! This is was a great relaxing project for me!
Got basically everything done! I need to add more projects (might do that as part of WebOS 2 tho so I can go ahead and ship this ) I also added a lovely form and attached it to formspree which was suprisingly easier than I had thought!
Started my own personal Coding portfolio through github codespaces. I’ve worked on it a LOT since this last work session but forgot to use lapse. So here is this update and then I’ll show the newest version in a little bit when I post another Devlog+. Below is a sneak peek. :)
Got it in hopefully the correct spacings and general layout. Started the wiring in PCB… wiring sucks. Its like that one pipe game where you have to match the colors without crossing except for we have 2 colors and a bunch of obstacles. I would love any advice or critique ya’ll have because this is my first time making anything like this!
Started in the PCB editor!!! :)
Working on adding LEDs, still working on getting the wiring correct :)
