Added a way to see the recipe and the ingredients needed based on what ingredients already exist
Added a way to see the recipe and the ingredients needed based on what ingredients already exist
Added the ability to add food and save it and look up recipes.
Created a website for downloading the app
Made some more progress on the website, added ultron to it
Started working on the website for the demo and instructions and stuff.
Ultron moves around the screen, the text scrolls in and the mouth moves like its talking.
So a lot of progress was made… I added the AI and it works which is great! Also, I wrote instructions for the user to add an api key but I’ll make more concise instructions later.
Started working on integrating an ai (Newmatron) and some answers that it can give if something breaks. I also gave it a little backstory type thing so that it stays in character (I may be a little bit of a larper but I know mostly what the character is).
Added a blinking animation and a thinking sprite and talking (I lost wifi mid drawing so not all of it was recorded). Next I gotta give it a brain (connect it to some ai.. maybe claude??). Not sure yet what I’ll do so research time!! Going into projects without planning is so fun :)
Created a way to actually chat with it (even if it won’t talk back… and its just a grey box). Progress!!!
Set up Electron app with a basic window
I took 20 pictures of different articles of clothing I have for the project.
There honestly isn’t much to say for the stuff I currently have done but I wanted to start off by just making a schema to organize all the categories of clothes. I’ll probably add on to it later on but as of right now, it has mostly everything I need. I don’t actually have any pictures of clothes as of right now, so that’s my next order of business.
I needed to test the screen so naturally, the first thing that came to mind is bad apple. It took sooo long to get that to work but eventually I did it! It used to only work with a companion running and that was a hassle to figure out, then I just had to run a command (I didn’t want to run a command though) so I fixed that too. Now it plays with a click of a button! Also, when it plays the song plays on my computer (there isn’t an actual speaker on the macropad). Next up, testing my LEDs!
I’ve soldered all my components down, but I finally began testing everything out. So far, everything works (except for my rotary encoder because I accidentally bought one that doesn’t click). Currently, the keys are mapped to letters of the alphabet, the rotary encoder controls the volume, and the screen displays some letters.
Made demos for every screen so far.
I added a demo url. I have a docker file that I connect to Render which hosts my website.
I wanted to show off my website but I was on my phone and thats when I realized it doesn’t really work on the phone… The only problem was that the windows wouldn’t drag. The github website page function I used for the website formatted it fine for different screens. I fixed the issue with the dragging on touchscreen. I also made the 2048 game work on touchscreen. Also, I updated the algorithm for the 2048 game. I have written code for it before in Java just for practice and I wanted to take advantage of the fact that I already had an algorithm that works and I understand, so that’s what I decided to do. Now I can understand the 2048 code a little better (I wrote it before understanding JavaScript as well as I do now and most of it is from bits and pieces I found while researching). I also wanted to add some pictures of projects I’ve done. So far, I really only have one but I do have some currently on their way to me in the mail so I’ll add those later. Another think I feel like it’s important for me to note, I know that my README looks like it was written by AI with all the emojis but I actually wrote them all in there myself, I feel like they add a lot to the aesthetic instead of just being plain text. I source all my emojis from: https://emojicopy.com/
So a lot of changes…
I was brainstorming what I should add and I had the bright and original idea to add a contact me app! Problem is, I already have my socials linked. I want a way for people to reach me directly though. My first thought was to make a new Gmail account (I don’t want spamming on my main account) but then I was doing some research and I realized I can make a discord webhook. After a TON of trial and error, I figured out how it works and every message through that app goes straight into a private discord server. I committed all my changes and I was pretty happy with my code. But then I get an email from GitGaurdian… It said that my url was exposed. I had put the url in the frontend. After some panicking, I find out what cloudlfare workers are. I put my webhook in cloudflare and everything is okay!! Now you can send me a message! :)
I also wanted to make a little magic 8-ball game just for fun. It’s a hamster that tells you your fortune!! How fun is that?
