So I realized that I really only needed 12 keys for the matrix (4 for the joystick, 2 for l/r bumpers and 6 for the buttons) so I changed it into a 2x3 matrix so I wouldn’t be wasting a pin. I also completed the left bumper and all 4 keys for the joystick, so all that’s left for the schematic is adding the LEDs/OLED. I might go back and change up how the joystick/bumpers are wired to the matrix board so I have less wires to solder, but it’s fine for now.

I (Finally) started working on the schematic for my arcade pad! So far, I finished the buttons and the first part of my connector board (I don’t really know what to call it). I was researching alot on how to wire up the keys, and I ended up finding something called a japanese matrix which is why I have the diodes facing in 2 different directions in the same column. Basically, it scans the columns like a normal matrix, but it will also scan the rows to essentially doubling the amount of keys I can have with the same number of pins. This is my first kicad project, so don’t judge me too much, and I just added the text there to be like code comments for me or other people to look at.

P.S The time that it shows here is different fron the lapse time, which is weird
