tldr: basically i gave up
so i wanted the plans and the wine bottle to have this cute colored circles to ‘splash’ out when you click it But then i look for svelte particle libraries and its only tsparticles which is FINE BUT HOLY DEBUGGING so i went on a side quest to learn it DECENTLY and thats how we have a background

ik its not fancy or anything or a lot of added code but the debugging uh let not

also shifted to bun for everything and had some issues w vite asw
also bun has great support for this stuff crazy

NEW CASE

Whimsyboard got audited and it was pointed out that the case couldnt hold the pcb in but i really love having the copper being exposed w the silkscreens so the Grid was a NO

what i did instead was Extruded all interior edges by 2mm and curved them so the pcb CANNOT fall out and now isnt just dependent on the cable to stay in place

Also added a lot of curves cuz i learnt and figured out some cad

Redeigned the home page cuz it looked really boring and life less and nothing like stardew

spent an hr making the ui and then aft clg started has a urge to redesign the ui so um here we are (feedback and logo help appreciated)

Tried three diff styles to see which one i like some of them were:

1. Notebook flipping ish
2. Purple heatmap ahh
3. Cool png animation stuff ( gave up before trying bc couldnt find assets)

THE title above is currently in the works of making the A a Star cuz hehe stardew starcalc

The Pngs will hopefully have a transition animation where the coffee plant sheds the berries and it swoops to the crops page animals has egg particles artisanal has a foam jet or smth and the slime for moster loses his color and becomes the resource

now ill have to ditch all of my programming of the previous ui and start all over again but lowk worth it

i need it to be pretty cuz i said so.

Season and Professions

1. Mocked up in Figma

• purple color scheme
• Handmade font/icons

2.Chose svelte for no reason (other than to learn)
3. Made Gemni write a data.json to Prototype w (eventually will nosql/sqllite it)
4. Season Select using radios that look like buttons w functioning hover and select colors ( took alot of time and help NO AI THO ALL DOCS)
5. Profession Select drafted but need to Read and add the perks to the data/process in js

Hi guys back aft getting more components

New color coded wires and new schematic from the book ‘Practical Electronics for inventors’ I blew up a 555 off camera while working
Also circuit still doesnt work ive tried making my own taking it frm yt and from a book now idk why its not working gonna check wire continuity tmr and make sure im cutting the wires long enough to make contact
Mosfet is still a mystery to me but ill figure it out :)

Worked on a schematic from a yt channel that seemed to work for him but didnt work for me so starting again :)

Whimsy board IS FINALLY COMPLETE
Firmware was honestly hell with the build times and sparse (im also not that smart) and sometimes confusing QMK documentation
CAD WAS HELLLL Took so long to even understand how to even start but eventually moved to onshape which was MUCH easier
Schematic was the best and the most delulu stage imagining your board and how simple it is to make smth like this and then you find out why they cost so much aft
PCB routing is a diff hell i have a new sense of appreciation for every single pcb that exists so simply w no vias

Done w the physical board and design added A shark cuz my ikea plush whimsy cuz ppl call me that and then some song lyrics which i love as a bonus 😭

currently is a 3*4 matrix of switches w a rotary encoder and a oled display
Top section of the encoder and two keys are gonna be reserved for playing music
