Devlog 4: I am done the windboard and will keep this brief as i will do the final post soon.

Firstly i made the firmware on QMK with 9 separate macros and an oled screen. I first tried with KMK but found there was limited documentation for the OLED screen so i decided to use QMK. Overall it was pretty good and the documentation helps alot.

Second i finished the case design and made a 3D model. I finished designing all the parts in fusion 360 and then as seen in the image below assembled them into what the printed Windboard will look like.

Now i just need to build it and i will post the next devlog soon.

Hi the windboard is almost complete i have finished the case and now just need to figure out the firmware. I originally planned to use KMK but found that it was harder for oleds so i decided to use QMK. Here is the CAD design for the windboard made in fusion 360. Hopefully it will be done soon.

Hello
This is my second devlog

First i have decided the Hackpad will be called the Windboard.

  1. First i have redone my PCB so that it has 9 keys which i next plan to code shortcuts onto for navigating a computer like to open up an application.

  2. I have decided to include an oled screen, which i plan on adding an image that moves when the keys are pressed.

  3. I have started on the case which will hold the PCB.

I plan on adding more adding more soon so i will post another devlog in a day or two.

Take care.

I have just finished making the basic PCB and box design so now i am trying to figure out QMK. Any tips are appreciated? I plan on adding more buttons, but this is a start while i learn. My plan is to create around 6 keys to navigate through the windows interface. Day 1-2 Done.
