I made a basic calculator using Python and PySide6, with a Streamlit web version so it can also be used directly in a browser. The most challenging part was connecting the buttons with the calculator functions and making sure the operations worked correctly. Deploying the Streamlit version was also a new experience for me. I am proud that I built the calculator myself and successfully turned it into a working web application with a live demo. You can test the calculator by entering numbers and using +, -, *, /, then pressing = to calculate the result. The C button clears the display. Avoid dividing by zero.

I started this project to learn how to create graphical applications using Python and PySide6. I first learned how to create buttons and a display, then used QGridLayout and loops to arrange the calculator buttons. I implemented button-click handling and operator validation so multiple operators cannot be entered consecutively. I also learned about signals, connect(), lambda functions, and Qt alignment while designing the GUI. Finally, I styled the calculator to make the interface cleaner and more aesthetic.
