What did you make?
I made Nikhil-OS, a browser-based desktop environment inspired by modern computer operating systems. It has a boot experience, animated desktop, dock, app windows, settings, music, themes, and several interactive mini-apps and games. I wanted it to feel like an actual little computer you can explore rather than just a webpage with buttons.
What was challenging?
The hardest part was making everything work together smoothly. I had to deal with window opening and closing animations, draggable apps, desktop interactions, audio, different themes, responsive layouts, and making the whole interface feel consistent. Getting the project from something that looked like a simple mockup into something that actually behaved like a desktop environment took a lot of testing and fixing.
What are you proud of?
I’m most proud that Nikhil-OS became an interactive experience instead of just a visual design. You can actually open apps, move around the desktop, interact with different features, change settings and themes, play games, and explore the environment. I
