Ziphus is a lightweight browser based encoding and decoding tool for Morse Code, Binary, and Caesar Cipher which supports both directions and customizable cipher shifts a value of your choice. The most challenging part was making each system translate correctly while handling things like capitalization, reverse decoding, and different formats. I’m most proud of turning a simple translator idea into a complete, polished tool with everything processed locally. For testing, try all three protocols, switch between Encode and Decode, test different Caesar shift values, and use the Swap, Copy, and Clear buttons.

I spent some time polishing by testing the different translation systems and cleaning up the interface so everything stayed simple and consistent. The processing is also done locally in the browser, so the project doesn’t need a server to translate the text. This become a great tool and i feel like its ready for publishing.

I realized that only being able to encode text made the tool feel incomplete. So this update was focused on building the reverse translation system.Ziphus can now take the different formats it creates and translate them back into readable text.I updated caesar cipher, now you can now customize the number of shifts you want for your cipher.
I also added a Direction system so Ziphus can switch between Encode and Decode instead of needing separate tools for each. There are still a few things I want to polish before I call it finished.

The project is finally starting to feel like an actual tool rather than just a UI experiment. One of the things I had to spend more time was case handling.
In the cyber shift system, uppercase and lowercase characters need to stay different like A shifts to D, while a shifts to d. It sounds simple, but making sure the transformation preserves the original case is important if the translated text is going to remain consistent.I also had to handle the differences between the three encoding systems:
Morse works with symbols like dots and dashes, while Binary converts characters into 8-bit numerical representations. The Cyber-Shift system works differently again by shifting letters through the alphabet while leaving things like spaces and punctuation intact. The current version can translate text into Morse, Binary, and Cyber-Shift, with the processing happening locally in the browser. But I don’t think the project is completely finished yet cuz Ziphus is mainly useful for encoding text. I want to take that one step further and add reverse translation. That would mean someone could paste Morse, Binary, or a shifted message into Ziphus and have it translated back into normal English.I think that’s an important part of making this is to make it useful

Started building my next project ZIPHUS, a local signal translator and encryption engine for decoding texts. Created the main terminal layout using HTML and styled it with a minimal styling with green/gray using CSS. Added input/output text areas, custom character counters like the , and the protocol selectors for Morse code, 8-bit binary,i still got to complete the caesar shift cipher (+3) and etc.

A web based cognitive testing suite featuring five interactive benchmarks for reaction speed, aim training, visual memory, number memory, and a wpm test where users can test, track or imrpove their cognitive skills from these tests.Along the way the challenging part was improving the cognitive tests making it accurste enough, refining the test flow with clearer instructions, countdowns, and live wpm test for what the user types over it and getting the code right based on what i intented and accuracy tracking rigs for the grid shot .I still have plenty of ideas to add on to this like a better tracking chart or other accurate tests. Right now, the project feels fast, responsive, and accurate enough to stand on its own as an experience.

I was able to improve the current five cognitive tests which is the important part of this project, each test has a detailed indroduction upon hovering over it so u can choose swiftly .I was focused on the dialing of the typing test mechanics so that keystrokes feel smooth and responsive, complete with live wpm and accuracy tracking right over an endless stream of text. I spent much time squashing bugs across the visual memory and aim tests, cleaning up performance leaks, and polishing the overall flow of each test especially the wpm test,I overhauled the event listeners and timer logic to eliminate performance leaks, fixed layout shift issues during high-speed clicks, and polished the overall visual flow between transitions Along the way, I refined the test flow with clearer instructions, countdowns, better feedback, and more consistent scoring across each challenge. Paid alot of attention to the smaller details from making the reaction test more precise to keeping the different tests feeling responsive and fair across different setups which makes Cognitive Arena feels less like a collection of mini games but more like a complete cognitive approximated testing experience . There are still plenty of things I could keep tweaking and later on i am planning to update this, but I think it’s finally at a point where it’s ready to be shared before upcoming cool updates like adding more tests or a progression chart to maoe it more challenging but right now its enough as a quick test of your cognitive skills

Instead of going straight into the test i needed a startup page before users launch a benchmark,so I designed a retro landing screen . Made the whole UI feel much more cleaner before jumping into the actual benchmarks for a startup indroduction and also designed the layout for cogintive tests.i made 5 simple tests so far which needs a rework so next devlog i will be improving my mini cognitive tests that i had made to publish

Started my new project Cognitive Arena . Set up the core HTML structure and styled the base interface with a clean, modern layout to handle the interactive elements and still adding the benchmarks

Set up my first site . Organized up my main HTML workspace connected to GitHub and Hackatime. I built a basic self indroduction website to start my Stardance journey. Excited to start building my new projects later on, feel free to check them out!.
