**He loved the website! **
Next objective is making it useable for other people:

• making a cake with candles that don’t have a specific age
• getting the flames to line up with those candles
• writing good documentation in the code
• making a nice animation (rather than just a static image) for the flame being blown out

Today is his birthday! I wished him a happy birthday, of course, but the party isn’t until this weekend. It’s at that party when I will give him a card with the website link written inside.

Updates:
-The candles get “blown out” when a mouse is dragged across them

• The background changes to a dark purple when both are blown out
• I redrew the candle smoke, because it didn’t seem to fit the artstyle
• The cake also gets darker and “purpler” so it appears shadowed
• Wrote a nice message :)

Recolored the cake and favicon with his favorite color (soft red). The candles now go out when a mouse is dragged over them, yay! Next goal is to make the background go dark purple when both candles are blown out to reveal the secret birthday message written in white at the bottom. His birthday is September 3rd, so I need to work fast!

I’ve been messing with the CSS for so long to try and make it work on a phone. The candles stay in the right general area, so we’re calling that a win. Next up is making the candles functional (blowing out when clicked), and fixing the audio controls.
