Tabbo devlog #2

I removed the blue side stripes, since they were covering video controls - user couldn’t navigate through video files.

But to compensate that I added text animations for title and explanation so they appear one after another word-by-word.

I built Tabbo - website for viewing NASA media for specific dates. During the process of development I overcame some challenges - fetching today’s date in a specific format; I learned that I can use .then() in Javascript that is much simpler than await() which was more complex to understand but did the same thing.

Tabbo devlog

I built Tabbo as part of the NASA mission in Stardance.

Tabbo is a page where you can view information about the Image of the day by NASA for specific dates in the Calendar, whether it’s a regular day or a special one like a birthday. It can view images, video files and YouTube videos.

The thing I like about it is a minimalistic retro look that matches with the images in the background giving comforting feeling.

Appaly MVP

Appaly is University Application evaluation tool designed for students aiming to reach universities.

Right now the product is in early stages of development with most non-frontend part completed. It can evaluate the overall score of the student alongside with breaking down that score by categories. The results are displayed in a radar chart (I like to call it a hexagon chart) by each category that can be viewed by details while hovering. The statistics are also displayed in a bar chart style with comments on the results. Very bottom of the page contains “Feedback” section that displays strength & weaknesses of the application with advices on improving their application. The LLM API is not connected yet, so the statistics and comments displayed in the image are hard-coded, not based on actual application.
