dev log 3, i finished port forwarding 80 and did a little more work on the actual website. but I’m running into this problem where the website ‘takes to long to respond’ if i use the URL. it works fine when i connect locally with the pi’s Ip. this leads me to believe that somethings going wrong with either the domain provider or the port forwarding, so i checked on both and the seem fine. im at a little bit of a loss right now
i bought a domain and attached it to the raspberry pi and also made the pi easier to edit. i downloaded FileZilla before messing around in vs code to through together a little website that i put on the pi so people can see it locally
i configured my raspberry pi with the imager and added a text file named ‘ssh’. then plugged the pi into the wall and my router before logging into it through windows PowerShell on my computer where i updated the pi, installed and enabled Apache2. this let me test it to make sure the pi was actually hosting something locally so i can port forward it later
