Day-01 (29/08/2026)

Today was the first day of building my own alarm clock (MomClock) , as the name suggests this clock is dedicated to my Mom , because she always wakes me up in the morning for school …..

Designing the schematics and PCB wasn’t very difficult , I have started getting familiar with KiCad.

Day-04 (28-08-2026)

Today I started with a dare to finish the 3d CAD model of my HackPad but Fusion f ed me , I could model a tiny piece on my enclosure . I gave up , for today I’ll try again tomorrow . Then I moved on the code the firmware for my HackPad , I chose QMK Firmware because it is beginner friendly and there are lots of tutorial on it. I setup my environment using the QMK MSYS then coded the JSON file in VS Code .

Day-03 (25-08-2026)
After a long time I worked on my macropad AKA TejuPad. It was a headache trying to add the 3d models of the components in KiCad . I researched a lot and then found the correct models and then added them to KiCad. The main problem was to the .step file of the PCB into Fusion360 , idk why but it is not uploading in the Fusion , I’ll try tomorrow to make the Enclosure of the PCB…..

Please like and comment for any more suggestions.

Day-02 (17-08-2026)
Today after almost a week , I designed the PCB of my macropad (i.e. TejuPad) . I first downloaded the .step (3d model file) of the Xiao and imported it into KiCad , this step by very much unnecessary but I still did it.
Then I imported the schematic file into the PCB editor, placed everything properly and connected them electrically. Today It felt very easy , not looking into too much documentation or a tutorial.
The thing I am most worried about the Xiao RP2040 , I don’t think I am using the right one. We’ll know..
Please comment what do you guys think and like the devlog.

Day:01 (11-08-2026)
Today was the first day of building my own 3*3 Macropad . I have named it TejuPad. Because my nickname is Teju.
Today I made the schematics of my macropad , I faced some difficulties in finding the right footprint for the Xiao , but I eventually made it . With the help of HackPad guide made my HackClub ,it was very easy to finish this task . I will continue building and my documenting my journey of my first Hardware Project. And shoutout to Zack and HackClub for providing this amazing platform where teens like me can showcase there talent….

Day - 04 : 23-07-2026
After a quite a long break I restarted work on this project . Today I made some significant changes to the OS.

First of all I add a draggable window to the OS , which is essentially a welcome screen which opens up whenever to start the OS . I was working on this feature some past 2-3days but couldn’t finish it together . So , Today I did that . Also I made that window closeable and openable which was a headache , because I don’t know JavaScript so I had to go through tutorials and Claude to help me fix every bug .

So , that’s it for today .

Day - 03 : 15-07-2026

Today I didn’t made a significant progress but still managed to make the best out of my time.
Firstly I added a better wallpaper for my OS , added a bottom bar and styled it a little , added a proper functioning clock and date which refreshes every second , I made it using basic JavaScript(JS).

Day -02 : 14-07-2026
I know their is a very significant gap between my first and second devlog of this project , that is because I had to travel out of town for two weeks , I promise myself that I’ll be consistent from today..

So , nothing much progress ,just added a topbar , added translucency to it and fixed my broken CSS code and rewrite the whole CSS script , so it took a lot of my time.

The biggest challenge I face while working on websites is that I don’t understand the positioning and placement of divs , I’ll take a tutorial before working from tomorrow …..

Day - 01 : 27-06-2026

Today was the first day of building my own OS . First I revised over some basic HTML and CSS concepts because I haven’t touched these since 2024 . Then following the tutorial I made the basic page , added some image , fonts , background color and borders. I struggled with the CSS at first but then I managed to make the basic page in about 1hr 30mins , I know its a lot but going over StackOverflow , Youtube , Chatgpt , Claude takes time . I didn’t copied the code , just understood and then applied it into my project.

So this was it for today
ThankYou……
