I'll be starting university in a month, where I'll study Aerospace Engineering (don't ask me how I passed the admission exam, I’m just as surprised as you are). I want to improve so I don't get absolutely crushed during my first semester. Wish me luck.

DEVLOG #1: I Realized I Don’t Actually Want to Build a Website…

I discovered Stardance about a week ago, got really excited, clicked on the very first mission I saw, and decided to complete it.

While working on it and scrolling through other participants’ projects, I realized there were other things I wanted to build too.

My original idea for the Website mission was to create an alien character and bring them to life through a website. I wanted it to include their story, a few journal entries, and some secrets for people to find. It was loosely inspired by thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com (I’m a huge Gravity Falls fan).

I should probably mention that I had never built a website or written a single line of code before this, so it was a pretty ambitious first project.

As I kept working on it, I realized I also wanted to spend time building projects that were more closely related to aerospace engineering, especially since I’m starting university in a month.

That doesn’t mean I’m giving up on the website.

I’d already spent a good amount of time on it, and it felt wrong to never share what I’d made. It’s definitely amateur, so… sorry if it’s a little disappointing lol.

You can try it!

The website is far from finished, so please don’t expect too much from it just yet. 😭

There are still plenty of bugs, unfinished sections, and ideas that haven’t been implemented.

If you type the command HELP, you’ll see the list of available commands.

What’s next?

I’ll keep working on the website and improving it over time. I already have a bunch of ideas I’d like to add, and I want it to become something I’m genuinely proud of.

At the same time, I’ll also be building other projects that help me learn new skills, I think working on different things at once will keep me motivated while helping me grow as a developer.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this!
