My older case design and pcb did not fit the design specifications therefore i had to alter my design. I could have simply adjusted the older case to fit the required dimensions but after attempting to do so i found quite a few issues such as hangovers with the 3d model which would make it harder to 3d print. So instead i designed a more minimalistic model which incorporates a vornoi style on the front and sides. To make it easier to print I could split the model into parts in Bambu studio when i eventually print the model myself.
Just finished iterating what is hopefully the final version of my hack pad design in shapr3d!!
Created a basic design for my hackpad after importing the components and pcb into shapr3d to create a basic visualisation. Now I can go on to refine the look and create a better looking case better suited to my vision with functionality.
Initial progress of creating my pcb a case. I started off by importing all the 3d files of components which were lacking them in KiCAD and creating a basic plate.
I created the PCB for my HackPad. It was my first time using KiCAD so I tried my best and here is what I came up with.
