I built my personal portfolio website — a single-page site with hero/intro, about-me, services (Web/App Dev, UI/UX, Graphics Design), an animated skills section, and a working contact form, using vanilla HTML/CSS/JS with Matter.js for an interactive mouse-reactive particle background and Lenis for smooth scrolling. The trickiest part was tuning the Matter.js particle background so it reacted smoothly to the cursor without lagging, and syncing scroll-triggered animations (like the sketch-pad draw-in effect) with Lenis’s smooth scroll. I’m most proud of the particle background — it makes the site feel alive instead of static, all done with vanilla JS and lightweight libraries instead of a heavy framework. To test it, just open index.html, move your mouse around the hero section to see the particles react, scroll down to see the Services sketch animation and Skills progress circles trigger, and try the contact form at the bottom (it actually submits via Web3Forms).
