As hardware has updated i have some backlog of unsaved timelapses i never pushed. All other work has been expanding parts list and making adjustments.
Worked on BOM, iterated multiple plans and ran them past my client to find the best design. Will be a handheld device that fits in a pocket nicely and can be taken out to measure both absolute and directional magnetic field environment. Will add other features such as a compass, spirit level, and more.
Change of plans, finding nonmagnetic parts is proving to be too tricky and bordering unsafe boundaries. Will instead opt for a hip-mounted processor and battery unit with wires to sensor.
Completed the schematics and made sure i was using the correct components. I have run into an issue where I haven’t the slightest idea or skill to solder smd components, and my project currently requires one, so i will have to either learn how to do that or find a different component.
Accidentally made the PCB bigger than 100x100, had to redesign
Tried to model the case but fusion360 crashed
PCB work (i don’t know why it went black at the end, maybe because i used the raytracer on kicad and it screwed up my graphics or something)
Worked further on planning and design, need to figure out how to do matrices. got the basic layout finished so once i sort the matrix out i’ll be on to PCB
Figured out a basic design, buttons for my flight deck. will work on PCB in future
Set up base github page, added two sample readme applets to showcase the embedding of matter.js into the project.
