An interactive website that lets users explore and compare exoplanets beyond our Solar System. It presents information about different planets, helping users learn about their characteristics and understand how these distant worlds differ from one another. This project combines my interest in astronomy with web development to make space science more accessible.

I created Exoplanet Explorer, an interactive website that allows users to explore and compare different exoplanets beyond our Solar System. Users can select two planets and compare their characteristics to learn more about these fascinating worlds. One of the biggest challenges was learning how to combine HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build a functional and user-friendly website and make the comparison feature work correctly. I am proud of turning my passion for astronomy into a working project that combines space science with programming. To test the project, open the website in a browser, select two exoplanets from the available dropdown menus, and view the comparison displayed on the page. Try different combinations to explore the differences between these distant worlds.

Improving Exoplanet Explorer 🌌

Today, I improved my Exoplanet Explorer website by expanding the scientific information about the exoplanets featured in the project. I added facts about their discovery methods, discovery years, orbital characteristics, and scientific significance.

I also checked the planet cards and tested the comparison feature to make sure the website continued working after the updates.

This project showcase my interest in space science with technology and I’m continuing to make it more informative and useful for people exploring planets beyond our Solar System.
