Was it me, or the model? wasitme reads your Claude Code and Codex session logs on your Mac and builds a timeline of what changed on your side (model, effort, instruction files, MCP servers, skills) and on the agent’s side (version updates, which model was served), then compares your recent weeks with the weeks before and says which side your numbers moved with - or says it is too early to tell. Free, open source, with a 37-second film and a live website.

Ship #1 Pending review

wasitme answers the question I kept asking while directing AI coding agents all semester: ‘was it me, or the model?’ It reads the Claude Code and Codex session logs on your Mac and builds a timeline of everything that changed on my side (model, effort, instruction files, MCP servers, skills) and on the agent’s side (version updates, which model was actually served), then compares my recent weeks with the weeks before and says which side my numbers moved with - or honestly says it is too early to tell instead of guessing. Try it: the live site (demo link on the project) runs the Control Center with demo data, and the repo has the full source plus the 37-second film that explains the idea. About 32 logged hours; AI agents did the typing under my direction and every release passed my own checks before shipping.

Catch-up devlog for wasitme (working title BowlPrep, the folder name my time tracker recorded). wasitme answers ‘was it me, or the model?’: it reads your Claude Code and Codex session logs on your Mac and builds a timeline of what changed on your side (model, effort, instruction files, MCP servers, skills) and on the agent’s side (version updates, which model was served), compares your recent weeks with the weeks before, and says which side your numbers moved with - or ‘too early to tell’. This window: shipped the 0.1.1 release through CI, the 37-second film (the question spelled in tool-error ticks), and the website and film tools. Repo and live site are linked on the project. Screenshot: the live site.
