Welcome to Bread & BairBread & Bair is a small fantasy text adventure set in the shadowy woods around Morrowfen Village.The story follows Bair, a baker’s apprentice who disappears after chasing strange lights into the forest. Players must explore dangerous paths, gather key items, uncover the River Hag’s weakness, and return Bair home before the third sunrise.This first version focuses on branching choices, limited inventory, random travel events, multiple discoveries, score tracking, and two possible successful endings. The true ending requires finding both the Amber Tear and the Moonstone, then awakening the star arch.The game is written in Python and runs directly in the terminal with no external dependencies. Future updates could add more locations, character interactions, additional endings, and richer consequences for player choices.
