MY OWN WEB OS!!!
This is my own os on web! it has a working desktop environment with draggable windows, a taskbar, a start menu, clock, weather, calculator and a notepad.
It can save the city name you entered and the things you wrote on the notepad. Its done by using localstorage.
I used open meteo as both geocoding and forcast api. It is hosted on github pages.
the challenging part was using images as icons for the apps. so i simply used emojis (which were pretty hard to find).

Just added a weather app on my web os. it uses open meteo as both geocoding and forcast api. The site is ready to be shipped!!!!

I added a clock and a calculator to my webOS. clock was easy. but calc was a bit tricky for me. i had to get ai assistance for calc. but at least i didnt copy paste.

I’m working on my own web os. today, i made a taskbar, a start menu, a welcome window, a notepad, about app and a mini file explorer.
The windows are draggable and the taskbar displays time!!
The most challenging part for me was using images as icons for the apps. to solve this, i simply used emojis. I spent a lot of time finding the appropriate emojis. but finally it works!!
