What if you could send a message to your future self? Time Capsule is a new-tab workspace built around that idea. Write something today, choose when you want to open it, and let it stay locked until that moment arrives. Alongside the time capsules, Time Capsule gives you a place for your everyday things too — tasks, quick links, search, settings, and a small browser-style interface. The goal wasn't to build another productivity dashboard. I wanted to build something that feels personal: a place where you can leave something for the version of yourself that you'll meet later. The idea behind Time Capsule started with a simple question: What if you could send a message to your future self?
So I built Time Capsule as a custom new-tab workspace around that idea.
The main feature is creating a message, setting a date, and keeping it locked until your future self can open it.
I also added tasks, quick links, search, settings and a small browser-style interface.
The hardest part was getting all the JavaScript features to work together, especially the capsules and internal tabs.
