GlassOS

I’m building GlassOS, a browser-based virtual operating system. It has a clean and modern glassmorphism design. Users can open, move, resize, minimize, and maximize windows. I’m adding useful apps like Calculator, Calendar, Weather, and Notepad. It also has a VS Code-style editor and a mock terminal. There is a taskbar for quickly switching between apps. I’m adding games and small productivity tools to the desktop. The system also saves some user settings and app data. I’m building it with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS. The goal is to make a simple, fun, and interactive OS that runs directly in a browser.

Today I completed my GlassOS project and deployed the final version.GlassOS is a browser-based virtual operating system with a clean glassmorphism design and different built-in apps.
What I built:
🪟 Draggable, resizable and minimizable windows
🖥️ Desktop and dynamic taskbar
💻 VS Code-style editor
⌨️ Mock terminal with multiple commands🧮 Scientific calculator
📅 Calendar with saved events
🌦️ Weather app
📝 Notepad
✅ Tasks app
🎮 Game library
⚙️ Settings and wallpaper customization
⏱️ Hackatime widget
🔋 Battery, network and memory information
🔐 Startup animation and fullscreen prompt also fixed the build issues, connected the project to Vercel, and completed the deployment.
This project helped me learn more about Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, window management, local storage, browser APIs, and deployment.
GlassOS is now complete! 🚀✨and More Update in Future

Today I worked on my GlassOS project.
I added a new Welcome screen that appears when the site opens. It gives the user the option to enter fullscreen or continue without it.
I also worked on the desktop and added more apps like Calculator, Calendar, Games, and VS Code.
The Calculator now has Standard and Scientific modes. I also added a Calendar where users can create and view events.I worked on the window system too, so multiple apps can be open at the same time.
There are still a few things I want to fix and improve, but the project is starting to feel more like a real desktop OS.
More updates soon! 🚀
