Today was mostly setup day, which honestly felt more frustrating than exciting at times. Getting Hackatime to actually track my time took way longer than expected — turns out WakaTime and Hackatime were conflicting with each other the whole time. Once I uninstalled WakaTime
it finally worked. Got the GitHub repo connected to VS Code, created the three main files (index.html, style.css, app.js), and wrote the basic HTML skeleton for FairShare. It’s nothing pretty yet — just the structure — but seeing the sections laid out for family members, chores, and the dashboard
made it feel more real. 1h 7m logged. Slow start but everything is in place now.
Tomorrow I actually get to write real code.
