Hello World!!
This is my personal slack bot project call “THE GB-BOT”. It is a fun basic bot which can tell you the weather in 5 cities, a cute fact about cats and the quote of the day. It also has a /gb-bot-help command to show you the available commands.

Available commands:
- /gb-bot-ping : Check bot latency
- /gb-bot-catfact : Get a random cute cat fact
- /gb-bot-qotd : Get the quote of the day
- /gb-bot-weather : View current weather for selected cities
- /gb-bot-help : Display the command list
The container part was the thing I understood the least. I have no experience with linux and honestly i was blindly following the guide and hope the bot would get deployed without any issues which it did and i am grateful for that. Phew.
This is only a basic bot up to this point. I will also be working on a V2.0 which would be more niche and tailored to my personality. THE GB BOT V2.0 coming soon!!!

Added a cat fact command and a quote of the day command. It was way easier than the weather app..

added a weather command
/gb-bot-weather.
it fetched the weather data for 5 cities and has a dropdown you can select from. it took longer than i thought it would and i also had to look up the community to help me fix bugs.

Initial devlog
Created the slack bot and added basic latency and help commands as shown in the guide.
Will now try to figure out to add a profile pic and new commands…….
