So after the previous submit I received some feedback. I’ll classify it into two categories the Good and the Bad obviously
BAD: I don’t know what this does, I don’t understand it …
GOOD: Nice idea for a website, can be improved further with subtle details and program expansion
So first of all let me address the bad feedback (no offense):
As I have mentioned before this project was made for another ysws program and got rejected hence I had to shift here (The og ysws owner gave me permission to submit to another)
That’s why there is no informative motive behind this project like some of the projects in stardance rather its a side-quest type project without any intent to deliver/teach knowledge
Basically think of those time-pass sites like Bored etc.
Now the GOOD SIDE perhaps the only WHY I am improving this project a bit further.
After reading the feedback I made a list of common things that needed improvement
_First of all let me address this: I did not want to work on this project (for the time being) as I was so demotivated But the feedback said otherwise
-
Yes I know this can be improved further and scaled up with more programs. But I am busy with other things and do not intend to it right now
-
Secondly I have improved everything listed in the picture except for the Menu Instructions since I already have details for navigation in each program’s window/engine seperately
-
Apart from that I discovered few other logical bugs regarding the overlapping of hold the bar for certain seconds in program does one thing whilst it’s also used for navigation making a logical error to carry out the intended process
Improvements:
-
MongoTyper custom dialogue!:
- I received feedback regarding this about the sentence being typed out too soon and stuff hence I worked on that plus also decided to add a CUSTOM PHRASE box instead of a preloaded one
-
Morse Code:
-
There were two errors in this first one being 10s clears the translation terminal and 10s also brought you make to menu hence Overlapping Key Bind Error (I’ll just name it this)
-
After fixing that I found out that clearing the terminal didn’t work as intended… sure it did clear the terminal on sight but the previous buffer was still loaded and appeared once another code was typed.
In short words the clear terminal wasn’t erasing anything just an illusion until next code is entered So I fixed that
-
-
Coming Soon Project:
- Before this it had a title and I thought that it’ll work as a teaser to the upcoming program/game on the website but it backfired a bit
People claiming that the project is unfinished etc etc.. But I had explicitly stated my reasons to make it a COMING SOON project
-
THE BAR!
- Perhaps the most important and subtle detail that makes this program feel good is the addition of the Key press Bar making it easier for you to know how long you have pressed the bar and which key you are using
