For V2, I focused on making StarGaze more accurate and reliable rather than just adding more features. I fixed a major horizon-positioning error caused by missing atmospheric refraction, then worked through smaller astrometric corrections including Delta-T, nutation, aberration, planetary parallax, and stellar proper motion. I also improved the compass system with calibration, Android sensor fusion, and magnetic-field checks to handle interference from nearby metal. On top of that, I added sky-visibility calculations using the Sun and Moon so stars aren’t displayed as visible when the sky should be too bright. The engine now tracks 1,009 stars, 88 constellations, 5 planets, and the Moon while staying around 57 KB, and I added automated checks against NASA JPL Horizons to catch positioning errors over time.
