Devlog 2

This past approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes was used mainly for two things:

1. Test out the accuracy of the calculator by comparing it to CMHC’s existing mortgage calculator.
2. Adding some styles to it.

Changes:

• Added a top bar, which includes a Canadian Maple Leaf in-line with the text “Canadian Mortgage Calculator.”
• Changed the font and font sizes of the text, inputs, and buttons.
• The button is now red with white text.
• The payment per period is now displayed either on the right (if the screen is wide enough) or below the inputs. The Mortgage Amount, Down Payment, Loan-to-Value, and Insurance Premium are also displayed.
• A 25% transparent white background surrounds both the form and input to allow the user to see the necessary information.
• Added a background image (image of housing, source: Bank of Canada)

Next steps:

• Start of NHA MBS calculator (which has not been built by anyone yet!)
