Devlog #5

It has been a while since I posted my last devlog, but I have come back with a fresh vision of what I want to make. So I wanted to incorporate Three.js into my project, but I do not now a lot of Three.js. However, I discovered that I could make the models in Blender and import them from there into Three.js, which is a lot easier. So I have started with modeling in Blender, and I also figured out how to use Lapse.

Current Progress

I wanted to go with a fantasy theme for my new tab page, but I also wanted it to be isometric, because I really like how isometric models look, so I found a timelapse video of someone making one, and I am trying to follow that, but it IS HARD, like I am watching the video and half speed just to go along with the video. But I really like the model, so I will push through and try to make. It is based off of the Hogwarts castle, so I am trying to make that.

Next Steps

The next couple of devlogs will just be me making the castle model. I will first start with the outline, and then move onto shading. I am super excited about how this will turn out, but I hope I can finish it before the deadline.
