πŸš€ Just wrapped up my first hackathon project β€” an Expense Tracker built for the Stardance Hackathon (Hack Club Γ— NASA)!
Built entirely with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS β€” no frameworks, just fundamentals.
πŸ€– How I used AI in the process: GitHub Copilot in VS Code helped me write code faster as I built out features. For debugging and strengthening the logic/connections between components, I used Claude and the OpenRouter CLI to catch issues, refactor, and understand why something broke β€” not just fix it blindly.
As an incoming CS student at GTBIT, this was a great way to apply what I’ve been learning and get comfortable shipping something real, with AI as a tool rather than a crutch.
