An unofficial Habitica port to Amazfit Zepp OS devices.
An unofficial Habitica port to Amazfit Zepp OS devices.
Finally, the app has been relased into the app store. To download it, you have to go to the app store inside the Zepp App, look for HabitiSync, and install it (app id: 1124182). Then, configure your account into the settings app, and open your watch to see the icon. In this last update, I updated the Readme file to also showcase a video for those who don’t own a compatible watch.
After the app had been rejected from the Zepp app store due to the previous name was trade marketed, I decided to change the name into HabitiSync. I expect the app to be released in the official app store in the next 2 weeks!
The app is now on GitHub! Now you can also try it yourself by using the watch app. It is also being reviewed to be published onto the official app store, so it will be accessible to everyone for free. Changes: I have changed the previous name (Zeppitica) to HabitiZepp to better comply with Habitica’s usage guidelines. I have added a reload function to load the page again if changes have been made by just pressing the banner for more than 700 ms, and I have better adjusted the UI, as well as fixing some minor bugs and permissions with the device.
After fixing all previous bugs related to network issues and getting familiarized with JavaScript and Zepp OS development, I have started working on the UI, adding more colors to it and making more buttons functional, as well as adding new security features such as not having to use the user’s own API, and instead logging them in. Right now, I am taking suggestions on how to improve the UI design, or in adding new functionalities, so feel free to comment your ideas if you have some👍.
These last few days I have been figuring out many of the problems I had while writing in JavaScript for watches with Zepp OS. As of now, I have resolved most of them, but I still have to design the UI and organize the answers from the Habitica API.
