Finished!
After definitely not procrasinating for a week, I finished the Motivation Player! I soldered all the parts together and assembled it together. Very happy that the PCB worked first try. At this point, the project is done but there are some last things I’d like to say that happened (and I hope to be more careful about in future projects)
Bad :C :
- The container is just a shy too short for the batteries, and almost can’t close (thankfully the plastic top can bend)
- The potentiometer is really annoying to use
- All the “controls” would’ve been easier to used if they were elevated from the top
Basically, I should’ve put all the input on one side so it could be flush with the lid and every other component on the other side
Good :D :
- The batteries provide more amps than my test set up, leading to a pretty decent volume (the connections are also much better)
- A weird hardware/software bug causes the buttons and potentiometer to create a spike in the sound, leading to a beeping noise whenever they are used (which actually sounds like it belongs – happy accident)
Overall, pretty happy that it worked out. Just need to update the read me to ship!
