Poker Logger!

A Poker game chip handler simplified into an app!

This idea started when my friends and I were playing a poker game. I was the banker, always logging the calculations since we didn’t have any real chips. It was tedious, hectic and was destroying the fun. I thought why shouldn’t I create a software for this? And here we are!

The first 12 hours -
Pure logic! I decided to start the work by making the app work first. Bit by bit, every weekend I worked on this. Three weeks into this, the logic part is almost done!

More insight into the logic -
The logic consists of simple math but use of lot of variables in the code, multiple functions used in a timely manner to make the code function properly. Especially in the main game where calculations have to be made crisp to make the game fair.
It has to account for the small and big blinds put by the players, Succession of the blinds onto next round, keeping the status of players, whether active or folded, storing the game values such as call amount, bet amount, raise values and much more! Overall a web of 1s and 0s but when looked into a particular part of the logic, It becomes easier to code. I made the software bit by bit, taking small steps but compounding.

Well it’s not done yet!
It’s only 600 lines of code till now, I still have more to do. The UI especially, I also plan to make this code opensource so that no cheating can be done.
